Sad news that Drue Heinz, the great benefactor of literature and the arts in both the UK and around the world, has died. She funded countless arts projects that I'e enjoyed, not least at the National Portrait Gallery. How many discoveries have been made thanks to the breadth and ease of access of the Heinz Archive at the National Portrait Gallery in London, perhaps the best of its kind in the world?
