The Art Newspaper has shared news that a portrait of the Duke of Marlborough has been conserved and redisplayed for the first time. The painting, in the collection at Chartwell which is run by the National Trust, was given to Sir Winston Churchill in 1942 but its poor condition meant that it was never hung.
